About UsÂ
Civics Circle is dedicated to despectacularizing the news cycle by uncovering the historical forces beneath today's headlines. In an age of algorithms, outrage, and constant information overload, stories are often presented as isolated events rather than part of longer historical trajectories. We examine the political, social, cultural, and economic currents that shape contemporary issues, providing the context often lost in breaking news coverage. By connecting the present to the past, we aim to combat historical amnesia, foster deeper understanding, and equip audiences to navigate an increasingly complex world with greater clarity and perspective.

Behind the Scenes at Civics Circle
I'm Isabella, a current high school senior. I love history, journalism, and politics, so I created Civics Circle as the intersection of my three interests. Through my work, I've gotten to explore my love of the humanities and instill a sense of civic awareness within myself, and I hope they can do the same for you.Â
